Spent my first few days going to the meeting and working in service with the beautiful English congregation here in La Chorrera. There’s also 2 English congregations in Panama City. Super friendly and loving brothers and sisters, a true family.

Today, we spoke with a young man who was a boxer and fought all over the world, and now is a trainer to other young boxers. Super friendly and receptive, took the brochure and freely gave his number, so the brother I was with will follow up.

I asked the brother I was working with, “Has anyone ever come into the truth out of the territory?” and he said, “Yes, me!” The brother, from Texas, and his wife, from Panama, both got baptized in 2019. He only was publishing for a year before the pandemic lockdown, but never missed a beat. Jehovah surely sustains us! He’s already taking service groups, auxiliary pioneering, and busy with other congregation duties.

Most of the La Chorrera brothers and sisters are here because they wrote the branch and asked where there was a need in English, so they were sent here…they have a vast territory and only 35 publishers. Lots of English speaking people that are born here or descendants of those that moved here to work. The search work here is door to door, because any and every house could be English speaking.
